Two persons have sustained gun wounds following clashes between two Muslim factions in Nandom in the Upper West Region.

The incident occurred yesterday evening when one of the factions went to perform a marriage ceremony that involved their daughter and a member of the rival faction.

The situation has brought tension in the community as the residents fear a reprisal attack. Personnel of the Ghana Police Service have restored calm in the community but no arrest has been made yet.
