A delicious snack of Yam balls served with spicy meat and vegetables can absolutely brighten your day. Yams are one of Ghana's favourite staple foods.

How to prepare yam balls

Follow these steps to prepare your delicious yam balls:

You will need these Ingredients
- Yam
-Vegetable oil
- margarine
-Chopped onions
-Eggs
-Seasoning
-Kpakposhito puree
-Nutmeg
-Flour
-Salt

How to prepare Yam balls

*Peel the yam and cut into pieces
*Boil in salted water for about 30 mins until tender.
*Drain and mash yams while still hot
*Add the onion, kpakposhito puree, seasoning ,garlic and margarine.
*Then stir in the egg and mix well.
*Using a tablespoon, scoop a little of the mixture at a time and mould into balls.

*Heat some vegetable oil in a large frying pan

*Roll the yam balls in the flour and fry for a few minutes until golden brown.

*Drain on kitchen paper and keep them warm while cooking the rest of the mixture.
