It was indeed a face-lift for the majority Christian population of Ghana and the nation at large as it played host to the great Jewish-American preacher and healing minister, Pastor Benny Hinn along with his African counterpart, Pastor Chris Oyakilome.

With ministries spanning over thirty and forty years respectively and global footprints that cannot be ignored even by the most adept cynic, it was only natural that the duo would come into some form of collaboration but that such effort would include tens of thousands of African ministers, particularly in Ghana and Nigeria is simply stunning.

In what an inside source hinted to be a meeting planned for merely 7-10 thousand church leaders, the Special Ministers Conference Ghana had hundreds of thousands of people participating on site and via TV screens in various private and public facilities only in the Republic of Ghana.

To cap it all, it became a melting point for the most prominent names in the country’s church community such as, Pastor Biodun Lawal of Christ Embassy - Accra, Archbishop Duncan Williams of Action Chapel, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills of Light House among others: Christian religious leaders in the nation whom by just brief instructions to their teeming followers can change the course of a national election.

However, at a time when Ghana and the rest of the West African sub-region are in dire need of unity and divine intervention in the activities of governments to bring an end to its multiple political, social and economic challenges, one could not expect anything less. Little wonder that although it was clearly stated to be for church leaders only, the conference equally had several top government functionaries from the President Nana Akufo-Addo administration and MPs in attendance.
