All is set for the state of the "Ghanaian economy" lecture - NPP

The office of the vice presidential candidate of the biggest opposition party New Patriotic Party Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has changed the venue for the less than 24 hours public lecture from the Accra International Conference Centre to the Ntional Theatre  in Accra.

The change according to a statement signed by NPP Press Secretary John Boadu has become necessary due to some technical setbacks . “decision by the managers of the Conference Centre (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to deny organizers of the programme the use of the facility 24 hours to the public Lecture , despite earlier assurances and two days (last week Wednesday and this Monday 5th September) of technical meetings and arrangements between the organizers and technical men at the centre, which concluded on among others, the technical set-up for the event.” The statement read

Irrespective of the setbacks all is set for the lecture to be held the statement added. “Despite the setbacks, we will like to assure the general public that everything is set for the lecture at the National Theater tomorrow on the theme “ the state of the Ghanaian economy- a foundation of concrete or straw”

                                    Bawumia Lecture Moved to National Theater, Accra

The office of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia wishes to notify the general public that the venue  for Thursday’s Public lecture has been moved from the Accra International Conference Centre as  earlier advertised to the National Theatre, Accra.

The change in venue follows a decision by the managers of the Conference Centre (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to deny organizers of the programme the use of the facility 24 hours to the public Lecture , despite earlier assurances and two days (last week Wednesday and this Monday 5th September) of technical meetings and arrangements between the organizers and technical men at the centre, which concluded on among others, the technical set-up for the event.

Despite the setbacks, we will like to assure the general public that everything is set for the lecture at the National Theater tomorrow on the theme “ the state of the Ghanaian economy- a foundation of concrete or straw”

The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and chaired by the  former President H.E. John Agyekum Kufour.
