The Presidential Elections Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed that five aspirants have successfully filed their completed nomination forms to contest in the party’s upcoming presidential primary.
According to a statement issued on Thursday, August 28, 2025, the aspirants are:
1. Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong
2. Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong
3. Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong
4. H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
5. Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum
The committee recalled that nominations were officially opened on July 29, 2025, by the General Secretary on behalf of the National Council, for party members interested in leading the NPP into the 2028 elections.
It further assured all stakeholders of its commitment to ensuring a transparent, credible, and fair process in line with the party’s constitution and regulations.
The presidential primary has been scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026.
