The new Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II has dismissed claims that he was installed by political actors.

The Ga chieftaincy institution has been engulfed in multiple disputes with many cases in court over rightful heirs to the throne.

Speaking in Accra after his induction, the King stated that the issues surrounding his enstoolment should not be politicized but rather focus on the way to solve problems that affect the people.

"There are several communicable diseases that are affecting our communities, and you sit and talk about a gazette that was acquired fraudulently. We appeal to the authorities to reverse that action because we have resolved that we are not afraid.", he said.

"Politics will not be brought into this reign. I wasn't installed by politics.", the new king stressed.

Kingmakers of the Ga Paramount Stool including the Dzaasetse, Dr. Nii Tetteh Kwei and Ga Stool father (Ga Seitse) and Nii Tetteh Ashong V installed Dr. King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II over the weekend.

However, a statement claiming to be from the Office of the Ga Mantse and signed by Nii Yaote Otoga II, the Paramount Stool Dzaasetse maintained that installation of Dr. Kevin Tackie as new Ga Mantse is illegal.

Meanwhile, police and other security personnel continue to patrol the streets of Ga Mashie to ensure peace and sanity in the area.
