Member of Parliament for Bekwai constituency in the Ashanti region Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu has said if there is anything he will remember the outgoing President, H.E John Dramani Mahama for; it will be his impeccable communication skills.

In an interview on Rainbow Radio, Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu said, President, H.E John Dramani Mahama will be remembered for his commitment and conviction to his speech even if they are false.
“I will remember the outgoing president for his communication skills. He delivers his speeches with commitment and conviction even if they were false. In terms of communications, the president is good.”

Defending his claim, Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu said ‘there is a difference between the truth and propaganda. You could be good at communication but lies cannot win you political power. The electorates are discerning now and are able to differentiate between what is the truth and what is false.’’

President Mahama lost the presidential election to Nana Akufo Addo on December 7, 2016 after voters went to the ballot to elect a new leader. He polled 4, 713, 227 votes representing 44.40% of the total valid votes cast. Nana Addo the president-elect who will be sworn into office January 2017 polled 5, 716, 026 votes representing 53.85%.
The defeat of President Mahama has made him the only president in Ghana’s history under the Fourth Republic to have served for only a term.
