The National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has indicated the party is poised to win the Krowor seat despite the stepping down of its parliamentary candidate over the weekend.

According to him, the NDC had served the people of Krowor well and was optimistic it will translate into votes and that the party could get a more viable and prominent replacement who would propagate the good works of the party and eventually win the seat.

His comments come after the NDC parliamentary candidate for the constituency, E.B Borketey aka Amoosha stepped down over ill health.

Mr. Borketey who suffered from a mild stroke and was responding to treatment was asked by the ruling party to submit a report indicating his fitness to campaign which he did.

Sources within the party indicated that his medical report was suspicious hence the party’s decision to form a medical enquiry team which was to verify the health status of Mr. Borketey.

But the candidate last weekend tendered in his resignation to contest on the party’s ticket to the national executives of the ruling NDC.
