The Minority leader Haruna Iddrisu says the law must deal swiftly, decisively and ruthlessly with any person associated with the shooting incident which resulted in the death of an NDC member in Kumasi.

In an interview with StarrFm monitored by PrimeNewsGhana, the Minority leader said: "With the happenings in Kumasi, the law must deal swiftly, decisively and ruthlessly with any person associated with the event. Again, it points to law enforcement failure, if two persons are on a motorbike and you mention other names, close in on that as your primary evidence but if you begin to have your assumptions and presumptions that is worrying''

The Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery also said: ''When you say political vigilantism what is that? Assault is assault, murder is murder. The President has been very clear that crime has no political power. NDC General Secretary practically repeated what the President said, we expect the police to investigate the matter expeditiously and that those responsible are brought to book. The death of one person is regrettable and I send my condolences to the family and all those connected to him''.

The Police are currently investigating the issue and have promised to bring the perpetrators to book.

There was a reported case of shooting at the Ashanti Regional Office of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Monday, February 18.
