The flagbearer aspirants of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will today meet the party's Election Committee ahead of the primaries.

The purpose of the meeting is for the party's Election Committee to outline and explain the operational guidelines for the upcoming elections.

This development comes on the back of six of the aspirants forwarding a petition to the party' Election Committee demanding the guidelines for the upcoming election.

The six had previously raised issues with the electoral register and the choice of printing firm for the ballot papers.

The six namely Alban SK Bagbin, Nurudeen Ali, Sylvester Mensah, Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, Goosie Tanoh, and Joshua Alabi are of the view that the party should let a trustworthy firm like the Assembly Press, to print their ballot papers to avoid any irregularities.

There were some issues with some ballot papers during the NDC's national executive election held in November 2018.

The flagbearer election is slated for Saturday, February 23, 2019.
