Not all Jospong companies operations are pleasant, according to NDC MP for Ningo/Prampram, Samuel Nartey George.

Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Chief Executive Officer of the group, is currently being investigated by the Financial Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department of Police for alleged financial impropriety.

Five companies under the group, according to investigations conducted by JoyFm, were sole sourced and awarded “inflated” contracts to the tune of $74 million to supply one million waste bins and 90,000 bin liners.

But checks at the various assemblies indicate the bins were not only needed but 55,000 of them were yet to be delivered by the suppliers.

Speaking on JOY TV’s AM Show, Mr. George, who called for the naming and shaming of corrupt persons, said he found the operations of some of the subsidiary companies “unpleasant,” insisting they were morally unacceptable.

“For the moral point of view I am uncomfortable,” he said.

The station’s investigation revealed that the contract may have been inflated by about GH₵130 million.
