Kennedy Agyepong and Bryan Acheampong have officially joined the NPP flagbearer race following the successful filing of their nomination forms.

The filings took place on Wednesday at the NPP headquarters in Accra.

Speaking after submitting his form, the former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, aimed a dig at Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, stating that "some people have ideas. But I have bold ideas and creativity."

“I have done it before and will continue to do it. So if I tell you I’m going to create jobs for you, believe in me. Let’s ask some of the candidates what they have done,” he said.

He said his record as a businessman makes him the best candidate to tackle unemployment and improve livelihoods.

“We are no more going to listen to rhetoric. We want somebody who can create businesses for the youth of this country. I always say that any human being without a job has no life. Do you want life? Then vote for Kennedy Agyapong,” he said.

Dr Acheampong, on his part, called on party faithful to rally behind his bid to lead the NPP.

Dr Acheampong pledged to provide unifying and decisive leadership to rebuild the party and strengthen its base ahead of the 2028 general election.

Dr Acheampong emphasised that his vision was rooted in service, discipline, and conviction, reminding delegates that the upcoming leadership contest was not just about personalities but about securing the party’s unity and Ghana’s long-term future.

“I come to unite. I come to build. I come to lead with conviction,” he declared.

On Tuesday, former NPP General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong, was the first aspirant to officially file his nomination forms.
