Parliament set to reconvene on May 21

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has officially announced the commencement of the Second Meeting of the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana. 

According to a notice issued from the Office of the Speaker in Accra on Monday, May 4, 2026, the sitting will begin on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Parliament House, Accra.

The announcement was made in line with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament.

Speaker Bagbin indicated that the notice serves as formal communication to Members of Parliament and relevant stakeholders ahead of the resumption of sittings.

The new meeting is expected to allow Parliament to continue deliberations on national legislative business and other matters of public interest.
