Parliament’s Appointments Committee will today, July 25, 2025, vet four deputy ministers-designate.

The nominees include James Gyakye Quayson, MP for Assin North – nominated as Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and Dorcas Affo-Toffey, MP for Jomoro—nominated as Deputy Minister for Transport.

Others are Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP for Sissala West—nominated as Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation—and Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP for Essikado-Ketan—nominated as Deputy Minister for Health.

The nominees are part of the final batch submitted to Parliament by President Mahama on July 9, 2025, under Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution.

During the vetting process, the nominees will face questions on their qualifications, experience, and vision for their respective ministries.

The outcome of the vetting will determine whether the nominees are approved to assume their roles, forming part of the government’s strategy to strengthen governance and improve service delivery in key sectors.
