Prophet Nigel Gaisie, who prophesied Ebony’s death has predicted that the Opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC will win the upcoming 2020 election.
According to the Prophet, the NDC will only emerge victorious if John Mahama is made flagbearer of the party in their come upcoming primaries.
"God told me that if the NDC selects any other person [as the presidential candidate] than the former president, they will lose. So they should not try. But if they bring Mahama, the revelation said, they will win", Prophet Gaisie stated in a video making rounds on social media.
John Mahama is expected to contest in the NDC's flagbearership race later this year. Though he is yet to officially confirm that he will contest, his recent public appearances and utterances depict his readiness to lead the opposition party in the 2020 election.
According to John Mahama, who spoke in Cape Coast after a Unity Walk in 2017 said he would rather prefer the NDC to pay more attention to the ongoing party reorganization.
Meanwhile, a survey conducted by the Political Science Department of the University of Ghana has revealed that 58% of voters believe that former President John Dramani Mahama, will lead the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 elections.
Head of the Political Science Department, Dr. Bossman Asare, who made this revelation while presenting the survey findings, said : “We wanted to find out who the voters think should lead the party [NDC] in 2020, and overwhelmingly 58% of the candidates we interviewed said they believe John Mahama will become the candidate and a number of them generally said they wanted John Mahama to come.
“It means when you look at the graph, some people were getting 2 percent. Prof Alabi, Ricketts Hagan, Spio Grabrah, I think all of them were getting less than 7% so we were all surprised.â€
However, Several members of the NDC including, Nadowli-Kaleo MP, Alban Bagbin, Dr Spio-Garbrah, former NHIA boss, Sylvester Mensah, Joshua Alabi, former MP for La-Dadekotopon, Nii Amasah Namoale among others, have given indications they may contest the flagbearership position.
