The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested six suspects believed to be members of two armed robbery gangs linked to separate warehouse break-ins in Kpone and Tema Community One.
The arrests followed intelligence-led operations and sustained investigations into robberies involving the theft of large quantities of fertiliser and food products in May and June 2026.
According to a police statement, investigations revealed that on May 25, a group of armed men attacked a security guard at a fertiliser warehouse in Kpone and stole 751 bags of 50kg organic fertiliser valued at GH¢431,825.
In a separate incident on June 14, another gang reportedly overpowered security guards at Mummy's Recipe Warehouse in Tema Community One and made away with about 2,000 bags of Aaba Rice and other food products.
Police said follow-up investigations led officers to warehouses within the Tema enclave where some of the stolen items had been stored. The operation also enabled investigators to identify individuals suspected to be connected to both robberies.

A coordinated police operation on June 16 resulted in the arrest of six suspects identified as Akala Kudus, Shaibu Dauda, Abdul Rahman Moro, Giya Hudu, Razak Seidu and Francis Ayinsabga.
During the operation, police recovered 717 bags of Aaba Rice believed to have been stolen from Mummy's Recipe Warehouse and 600 bags of fertiliser stolen from the Kpone warehouse.
The recovered items have been secured as exhibits while investigations continue.
Police said the suspects are currently in custody assisting with investigations, adding that efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest other accomplices, recover the remaining stolen items and bring all those involved to justice.
The Tema Regional Police Command also urged businesses to strengthen security measures and encouraged the public to report suspicious activities promptly to help prevent crime and protect lives and property.
The statement was signed by ASP Dede Dzakpasu, Head of Public Affairs of the Tema Regional Police Command.
