Deputy Director of Research at the Presidency and communications team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has urged all supporters of the party in the Volta Region to trust each other and remain united to make the party competitive.
He stated that the main problem that the party is facing in the Volta Region is the lack of unity among its members.
Speaking at a delegates' conference organised in the Volta Region, Richard Ahiagbah told members of the party that without unity among its members, the presence of the party is less relevant in the region.
“It is not the availability of the party but it is how you engage the party. And this is how we are going to become competitive and in fact that is how we are going to increase the party numbers consistently,” he said.

Deputy Director of Research at the Presidency also said that lack of unity among members has made it difficult for people in the region to advocate and lobby for things from the national executives.
“So if you find out that there is no up spring of people from the Volta Region in the affairs of the NPP, then unite at the region and work together but when you fight among yourselves, the leadership of the party cannot trust who can be given anything because if that person is given something, he cannot be trusted to make sure that the said thing will go around to everyone,” Richard Ahiagbah said.
