National Youth Organizer for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, known as Nana B, says, the former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Joseph Yamin, lost in the bid to become the Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a result of internal tribal politics in the party.

Nana B said the development is gradually gaining root in the party, a situation he said, led to the defeat of Joseph Yamin because he was seen as a ‘visitor’.

The General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has also express the same sentiment on the elections in the NDC.

Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwem which was monitored by PrimeNewsGhana, Nana B said “Yamin was booted out because he was seen as a visitor in the NDC.

“The NDC always feeds on tribal politics and that is the problem of the NDC”, he added.

Joseph Yamin was defeated at the polls in his bid to become the Ashanti Regional chairman of the NDC.

He polled 611 to against Augustus Andrew Nana Akwasi, who won with 699.
