Mali head coach Saloum Mohamed Houssein says his side will not be the underdogs in their second group A game against the host, Ghana following their 1-2 defeat to Cameroon on Matchday 1.

Goals from Meffoumetou Tcheno and Nchout Njoya cancelled Aisatta Traore’s opener and eventually sealed a 1-2 victory to Cameroon over Mali on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium in the 2018 AWCON tournament.

However, the tactician is confident side will face the Black Queens squarely and that he expects at least a point from the showdown today.

“We lacked a bit of concentration and that is what caused our lost but we have not lost courage because we are still in the competition.

“The fact that we lost to Cameroun does not mean we will succumb to Ghana in our next game. We are going to train more and we will continue to fight to at least pick a point,” he stressed.

Host, Black Queens will lock horns with Mali on Tuesday at the Accra Sports Stadium at 3:30 pm.
