The final 20 nominations for the 2019 Golden Boy have been announced, as some of Europe's top young players battle it out for the award.

The prize, which is distributed by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, rewards the most impressive player aged under the age of 21 to be playing in a European top tier in each calendar year.

Previous winners include Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe, with the 2018 award picked up by Matthijs de Ligt.

The Juventus defender is back in the running 12 months on, but has some tough competition if he is to retain the title.

All nominees are players under the age of 21 and play in a European nation's top tier.
