The Accra Sports Stadium pitch is ready for the Africa Women Cup of Nations(AWCON 2018) which will be hosted in the country.
The playing surface of the stadium is ready for the games regarding the AWCON 2018 in the country.The renovation works at the Accra Sports Stadium began midway last year and it is the venue expected to host the tournament. The Cape Coast stadium also is in great shape for the tournament as well.

Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Algeria, South Africa, Zambia, Mali, and Nigeria have all qualified for the tournament.
The Black Queens of Ghana have played a couple of friendlies as part of the preparations for the tournament.
The champion together with the second an third-placed country will secure qualification for the Women's World Cup in France next year.
