Ä°stanbul BaÅŸakÅŸehir F.K. defender Joseph Attamah Larweh has been named in Black Stars 29 man provisional squad for AFCON 2019.

The tough-tackling defender has been very instrumental for BaÅŸakÅŸehir as they are currently second on the Turkish Super Lig table.

The former Tema Youth defender has 4 caps for the Black Stars of Ghana and has been one of the best performing Ghanaian players this season.

His form this current campaign has seen him rise at par with some of the top defenders in the Turkish Lig.

Attamah who is a versatile defender can play in central defence, right back and can even slot in as a defensive midfielder.

He would be a great asset for coach Kwesi Appiah and is one of the sure bets to make the final 23 man squad for the tournament next month.

Attamah was named among the defenders which include John Boye (Metz, France), Andy Yiadom (Reading, England, Abdul Baba Rahman (Reims, France), Lumor Agbenyenu (Goztepe A.S, Turkey), Kassim Nuhu, (Hoffenheim, Germany,) Jonathan Mensah (Columbus Crew SC, USA), Joseph Aidoo (Genk, Belgium), Nuhu Musa (St Gallen, Switzerland) and  Mohammed Alhassan (Hearts of Oak, Ghana).
