Asante Kotoko have terminated the contract of goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe after just a year at the club.

Muntari Tagoe joined the club in October 2018 on a three-year deal as a back-up to the first-choice goalkeeper, Felix Annan.

The well-built goalkeeper leaves the club after making three appearances in the union that lasted for a year.

Head of Administration and Legal Affairs, Lawyer Samuel Sarfo Duku told Kotoko Express App the club has thanked Muntari Tagoe for his services and has also wished him well in his future endeavours.

The 27 year-old has previously featured for Ghanaian club Medeama SC where he lasted six years at the Club, winning three trophies at including two FA Cup titles. He was the captain of the team as of 2014-2016

He has also had a stint at Zambian side Dynamo FC.

Muntari Tagoe becomes the third player to be released by the club in this week after Micheal Yeboah and Prince Aqcuah.
