Nigeria women national team coach, Thomas Dennerby still reeling from Sunday’s 0-1 loss to South Africa’s Banyana Banyana in their group B opening game of the Africa Women Cup of Nations said his team will fight back and put their tournament back on track.

The Super Falcons must beat a surprise team of the group Zambia on Wednesday, November 21, and then rescue all three points from wounded Equatorial Guinea in their final game to stand a chance of progressing from the group dubbed the “group of death”.

“We have a very strong team, time is good for us, the more we are together the more we play together, everybody knows we didn’t have the best of friendlies but our aim is still there, which is to win the trophy and qualify for the World Cup,” said Dennerby

Assistant captain Onome Ebi also expressed similar belief of a bounce back.

“Of course all is not lost, we have two games to play and we can still progress. “We have to put the loss behind us and focus on the games ahead.
