The Black Princesses of Ghana recorded an emphatic win over Ethiopia in the first leg of the FIFA U-20 World Cup qualifier staged at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa.

The 3-0 thrashing of their opponents in Addis Ababa means the Black Princesses have the upper hand in their quest to book a slot at the upcoming FIFA World Cup to be staged in Costa Rica.

Salamatu Abdulai's double and Cecilia Nyama first-half strikes ensured Ghana carried the day.  The Princesses will be on their way to a 6th consecutive U-20 Women’s World Cup this year if they complete the job in weeks' time.

The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup is slated for Costa Rica in August 2022.
