Ghana's Black Queens landed in Nairobi on Sunday ahead of their second pre-2018 Africa Women's Cup of Nations friendly against Kenya.

The playing body and the technical team jetted to Kenya from Zambia after being shocked 3-2 by the She-polopolo of Zambia.

Coach Bashiru Hayford’s side will square off with the Harambee Starlets on Wednesday before returning to Ghana to play South Africa.

Bashiru Hayford was happy to play another friendly match to prepare his outfit for the 2018 AWCON hosted by Ghana.

“We opted to play Kenya because of our good working relationship and also because they will be taking part in the AWCON tournament like we will,” he said in an interview with Football Kenya shortly after arriving in Nairobi.

“This friendly match will be good for us to not only gauge the standard of Women football in East Africa but to also get in good shape for the tournament.” He added.

Ghana will face Algeria in the opening match of the competition on Saturday, November 17 at the Accra Stadium.
