The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that the Black Stars will travel to Austria for an international friendly as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The match is scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2026, at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium, with kickoff set for 17:00 GMT.
Following the Austria encounter, Ghana will face Germany in a second friendly in Stuttgart on Monday, March 30.
Both Ghana and Austria have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group I alongside England, Croatia, and Panama, while Austria will compete in Group J with reigning world champions Argentina, Algeria, and Jordan.
Ghana will kick off their World Cup campaign against Panama on Wednesday, June 17, in Toronto. They will then face England in Boston on June 23, before concluding the group stage against Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
