Former Asante Kotoko defender, Dan Acquah talks about what his former employers are likely to come up against Al Hilal in their Group C opener in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Daniel Acquah is the latest to offer Asante Kotoko some pointers ahead of their clash with the Sudanese side in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.

The Ghanaians have been drawn together with the North Africans in Group C, which is completed by Zambian duo Zesco United and Nkana FC.

"Playing in Sudan is really difficult most especially their weather condition, the weather condition is very bad but I will urge the Kotoko players to focus on the game and nothing else to enable them to win in Sudan", he told Kumasi-based Ashh FM.

"Kotoko team should go to Sudan early to acclimatize with their weather conditions"

"Kotoko players should not be complacent but should be focused and confident in all their games and I know with that, they will win the CAF Confederation Cup", he added.

The ex-defender made a passionate appeal to followers of the club to be patient and remain resolute behind the club as it strives to make an impact in the 2018/2019 Total CAF Confederation Cup.

"I'm very happy with the way the supporters are supporting the team in their African campaign, I will encourage them(Supporters) to continue supporting the team to bring back the Kotoko glory days".

"Kotoko fans should be calm and support the Coach because I think he can win the trophy for them and also with their prayers and support, Kotoko will win against Al Hilal in Sudan on Sunday", he concluded.

The Porcupine Warriors hope of firing themselves out of the group lies with the challenge against Sudan's Al Hilal, and Zambian giants Zesco United and Nkana FC.

Al Hilal will host the first meeting between the two sides on Sunday, February 3 at the Al Hilal Stadium in Omdurman.
