Administrative Officer of Zesco United, Elton Thawe has labelled Asante Kotoko as a big club but not a threat currently to his outfit when it comes to the African game.

The much anticipated CAF confederations draw was conducted in Cairo-Egypt this morning to determine which teams are going to square off in the pre-group stage of the competition.

Ndola based giants Zesco United have been handed crucial encounters against Ghans's Asante Kotoko, Sudanese side Al Hilal and local rivals Nkana FC.

Looking at Asante Kotoko's journey so far, The Kumasi giants beat Kariobangi Sharks 2-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round of the competition and later humiliated Coton Sport de Garoua of Cameroon by winning 5-3 on aggregate.

However, Zesco qualified when they beat Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 away in South Africa to advance to the group stage 5-2 on aggregate.

Nkana on Sunday held on to a 0-0 away draw in Abidjan against San Pedro to qualify 3-0 on aggregate to make to the group stage.

Elton Thawe believes the two Zambian envoys will sail through to the next round ahead of Asante Kotoko and Al Hilal.
