Songne Yacouba has been left in wonderland about why Asante Kotoko dropped him out of the 18-man squad for the trip to Tunis.
The Porcupines yesterday named an 18-man squad for the second leg of the CAF Champions League decider against Etoile du Sahel at the Stade Mustapha Ben Jannet on Sunday, September 29.
Missing out of the list is the Burkinabe international who is a fan favourite of the Kumasi based club.
Speaking to Kumasi FM, Yacouba declared himself fit ahead of the second leg and he is surprised about his omission from the travelling contingent.
He added that, as at now nobody has communicated to him about his axing.
“I am very fit and do not know why I was dropped from the squad to Tunisiaâ€Â
†The coach named his squad and I wasn't part of it. The coach did not give any reason for axing me from the squad.
Yacouba played part in the Reds 2-0 win over the North Africans a fortnight ago but says he it would be unfair for Kjetil Zachariassen to use only 10 minutes to assess his performance.
“You cannot assess me with just 10minutes of play against Etoile†He ended.
