Former Accra Hearts of Oak striker Cosmos Dauda has moved swiftly to distance himself from reports that he jabbed Hearts management in an interview with Oyerepa FM.
The Al Faisaly SC striker is said to have described the current Hearts management as "lacking ambition" but the striker says he never granted an interview and made all those comments in a private conversation.
Dauda wrote:
GOODMORNING:
My attention was brought to an article that has been going around social media about me granting an interview to Oyerepa fm a kumasi based radio station attacking and throwing Jabs at present management of Hearts of Oak.
I want to state categorically clear that I Cosmos Dauda Never granted any of such interview to any radio station.
The purported tape played on that radio station was a PRIVATE CONVERSATION I had with my ex-teammate and that was three(3) weeks ago,when Hearts lost that tie in both games and Fans went into custody of the police for damaging stadium facility.I was unhappy with this and shared my moments privately with my ex-teammate.
My Undying Love for the Phobia family can never be questioned
And I would never go on Air not for any gain whatsoever to attack management of the club.
On getting this information, while I was in camp for game I kept calm to assimilate and access the situation because it came as a surprise to me.
It’s a case where someone leaked a conversation and we know many stories about issues like this and how they escalate when you are quick to reply.I believe this is a targeted attempt to cause chaos in the club.
For a reminder it was a PRIVATE CONVERSATION
Now it has gotten out to the masses and hit hard on people…It was never my intention.
I am no more a player of Hearts of Oak,therefore
Regard my statement as from a fan of the club.
I made those comments as a result of all that transpired during the clash between the two clubs and my Hearts of oak loosing on both.
For my exact comments on “management lacking ambition†that was my opinion and as such I want it to be DISREGARDED.
I will never come out publicly to speak against leaders of a club that I was privilege and proud to serve under,never and never will I do that.
The ones involved in this(leak-out)are obviously MISCHIEVOUS and I know for a fact that it’s targeted to the club to cause destabilization and distractions even to me as well.
It is a PROPAGANDA and they won’t stop at nothing to see that they achieve their dubious target
I plead on the masses and whoever is affected to disregard my opinion
I want the best for the Club and her great supporters.
