Asante Kotoko Communications directer lawyer Sarfo Duku has established that the Reds have received an official letter from AshantiGold regarding the services of their 3 players.

Days ago, Management of the Porcupine Warriors wrote to the Miners requesting for the services of Shafiu Mumuni, James Akaminko and Richard Djodi.

This was upon the request of coach C.K. Akonnor having worked with the trio at his former club to augment his squad to mount a serious challenge in the Africa Campaign.

General Manager of Asante Kotoko, George Amoako last week blasted AshantiGold for being unprofessional regarding the trio services but Sarfo Duku has revealed an official response has been received from the Miners.

“Kotoko have received an official response from AshantiGold stating that they can give Kotoko only one player for now,” he told Ashh FM.

“Kotoko have not drawn any conclusion as to the exact player we want from AshantiGold. Because the technical team has to do a lot of consultation with the management before we can come out with the exact player we want from them.”

Sarfo Duku also revealed the club is trying other alternatives to meet the deadline of CAF registration.

“Kotoko have been making enquires on other players to beef up our squad for the CAF Confederation Cup and we will make them official when everything is set because we have only few days to finalize the registration of our three slots,” he added.
