Edmund Ackah discloses reason for Kotoko resignation

Football administrator Edmund Ackah has resigned from his position as Greater Accra Representative for Asante Kotoko. 

According to Ackah who resignation on Thursday morning, citied personal reason for cutting ties with the Porcupines.

“it’s true, I have resigned as Accra rep of Asante Kotoko, I can no longer be a member of this management, and it’s a personal reason”.

Ackah has been serving under the Dr. Kwame Kyei led-administration since August 2018.

In a related development, Asante Kotoko have written to Portuguese sportswear manufacturer, Strike for the contract termination of their deal.

Strike is the official kit sponsor for the Ghana Premier League club having the right in 2018 on a three-year sponsorship deal.

Former Ghana international Yussif Chisah who brokered the deal has confirmed that the Porcupines want to end their relationship with Strike.

"Kotoko has written to us they want to hold termination discussions with us. I have no problem if they want to opt out,"

According to reports, various sportswear companies have expressed interest in being the official kit sponsors of the Kumasi-based club.
