Former Black Queens goalkeeper, Memunatu Sulemana has backed the senior female national team to host and win the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON).

The Black Queens, despite being regarded in Africa as a powerhouse in women's football have failed to clinch the tournament after losing three finals.

Nevertheless, Memunatu Sulemana, who is now the Black Queens goalkeepers trainer is very optimistic Ghana will host and win the tournament.

“This time around we are all looking forward to a host and win situation,” she told Ghanasportsonline.com in an interview.

“You know in the past we lost in the finals three times but this time around we have the advantage to redeem our image so we must do everything possible to win.” The Black Queens goalkeepers trainer concluded.

The 2018 AWCON, hosted by Ghana will kick off on November 14 to December 1.
