Former Asante Kotoko player, Ntow Gyan has fired shots at the current crop of players plying their trade in the country.
The former fans favourite declared that it is frustrating to watch the current generation of players because they do too many elementary mistakes and unnecessary showboating.
According to him, his generation of players takes much seriousness to matches hence leading to success in their days, unlike the current ones who are much concerned about outward looks.
He told Kumasi based Ashh FM: "It is very boring watching Kotoko players playing because they are not ready to learn from their mistakes to improve their talents."
"Players in this country currently are jokers, they are not serious with their training and always do concert things on the field when playing games."
"We were much matured during our days at Kotoko, but players of today like dressing more than their training and it is affecting their performance on the field"
Ntow Gyan also added his voice to the much talked about Kotoko's defence which have leaked in 9 goals in 6 games. He believes coach Akonnor needs to alter his central defensive pair to get the right balance in the team.
"There should be one robot defender and one calm defender at the back to get the balance because those playing currently always play the same style of football."
"I will advice CK Akonnor to pair Wahab Adams with one of those playing currently to get the balance at the back else the problem can't be solved," he concluded.
