Florentino Perez is determined to bring Jose Mourinho back to Real Madrid as their new manager ahead of next season.

Former Manchester United and Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, who is currently managing Benfica in the Portuguese top flight, could end up making an emotional return to Real Madrid. The Spanish giants are looking for a new manager ahead of next season, and they seem keen on having the ‘special one’ on their bench.

According to a report from The Athletic, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is pushing to have the Portuguese manager on their bench. The 63-year-old has a great relationship with the club president, and it could play a part in his potential return.

Mourinho is one of the most decorated managers in the world of football. He has won it all and has had great success with a number of top European clubs. After doing wonders with FC Porto, Chelsea, and Inter Milan, the Portuguese manager had a three-year spell at Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013.

While he didn’t manage to guide them to the UCL title, under him, they were the most feared counter-attacking team on the planet. They were scoring goals for fun and breaking records in La Liga.

Mourinho might not have had that kind of success in recent years, but he is still widely regarded as one of the best managers, and the 63-year-old could now land one of the biggest managerial jobs ahead of next season.
