GFA Boss turns 47, FIFA Boss wishes him well

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi celebrated his forty-seventh birthday yesterday with a lot of well-wishing messaages coming his way.

Notable among the GFA president's well-wishers was FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

In a letter to Mr Nyantakyi, the new FIFA Boss expressed happiness at the new year gifted him and wished him the best in all of his endeavours gong forward.

Mr Nyantakyi who assumed the leadership of the GFA in 2005 after beating two others, Joseph Ade Coker and Kojo Bonsu in a vote, is considered as the most successful GFA boss ever having overseen the qualification of Ghana's Black Stars for the last three successive FIFA World Cups.

He served as the President of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) from 2011-2015 and recently made history as the first Ghanaian to be voted to serve on FIFA's Executive Council.
