Member of the Normalisation Committee Lawyer Duah Adonten says Ghana football is in tatters and they are hoping to bring it back to shape.

FIFA appointed a four-member normalisation Committee which included Dr Kofi Amoah (Liaison Team Chairman), Naa Odofoley Nortey (Board member of Attorney General's Department), Lawyer Duah Adonten (Former Kotoko Board member) and Lucy Quist (Former Airtel CEO).

The Committee will hold its first meeting today as they aim to restore normalcy to Ghana football after the Anas expose.

"Ghana Football is like a torn cloth, it is in tatters and that is why we are holding our first meeting to try and put the pieces together"

"We will work hard to restore the pride of Ghana football, " He told Asempa FM.

The normalisation committee are expected to work for six months.


The Normalisation Committee are expected to do the following:

To run the GFA’s daily affairs and cooperate with the special task force once it has been set up by FIFA, CAF and the Government of Ghana;

To review the GFA statutes to ensure compliance with the requirements of FIFA and CAF, particularly art. 15 of the FIFA Statutes, and;

Once the GFA statutes meet the requirements of FIFA and CAF, to organise and conduct elections of a GFA executive committee on the basis of the revised GFA statutes.
