Matchday eight of the Ghana Premier League went down at six league centres on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

At the Anyinase Cam Park in the Western region, Karela condemned Hearts to their fourth defeat in the Ghana Premier League.

Midfielder Daniel Kodie gave Hearts the lead in the 12 minute and the Phobians looked on course to record a win.

Three quick goals from Willaim Mensah in the 47, 56 and 66 minutes gave Karela a 3-1 win and a famous victory over Hearts of Oak.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko also failed to pick up all three points as they drew 1-1 with Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Latif Salifu's first-half strike for Chelsea was cancelled out by Kotoko forward Fredrick Boateng.

At the Sogakope Park, league leaders Ashgold managed to get a point as they played a 1-1 draw with WAFA.
