Black Starlets Captain Eric Ayiah is pleading with Ghanaians to forgive the team after their exit from the U17 World Cup in India.
The team arrived in Ghana from India on Tuesday and Ayiah pleaded with Ghanaians to forgive them and support the team despite their inability to win the Cup.

" We thank God for arriving safely, we thanked all Ghanaians for their support and ask for forgiveness, what happened is part of football and we look forward to a better future", He said.

The Starlets were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the U17 World Cup by Mali.
The Malians were the same team that prevented the Starlets from winning the African Youth Championship when they beat them 1-0 in the final earlier this year.
