Week six of the Ghana Premier League produced some surprises, Kumasi Asante Kotoko went bottom of the log after a 1-0 defeat to Aduana, defending champions AshantiGold were humiliated 5-1 at Liberty Professionals but the biggest of them all was Accra Hearts of Oak's 3-1 home defeat to Wa All Stars who themselves went top of the league. Some Hearts fans, not satisfied with the performance of the referee, Ernest Baafi and his assistants Eric O. Mensah and Freeman Anwulo, pelted them with bottled and sachet water.
