Accra Hearts of Oak's Yaw Preko has resigned as the interim coach of the club over lack of respect from management.

According to Preko who was expected to be named as the substantive head coach of the team ahead of the 2016/17 season, he came to the decision because management of the club has failed to accord him respect for him to continue in his role.

Appointed at the start of last season as the assistant Coach for Japanese Kenichi Yatsuhashi, he was named as interim coach after Sergio Traguil, the Portuguese trainer who replaced Kenichi Yatshuhashi was dismissed.
