Milovan Rajevac says he has no intention of leaving his post despite the abysmal performance of his Black Stars at AFCON 2021.

He answered in the negative while emphasizing that his target is to guide Ghana to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

“I took this job with the aim of taking Ghana to the World Cup. This competition did not go well but it is a learning process for us.

"I will stay and lead Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers in March. I believe we have a team that can become stronger and get to the World Cup,” Milovan Rajevac.

The Black Stars on Tuesday were dumped out of the 33rd edition of AFCON, Cameroon 2021 after succumbing to a 3-2 defeat against Comoros.

This is the second time the four-time AFCON champion has been eliminated early from the continent's biggest football showpiece in the last two decades.

The last time was in 2006 was Zimbabwe handed them the shock exit.

Following Ghana's exit at the AFCON, pressure has increased on coach Milovan Rajevac, who returned for a second spell in charge in September.

At his unveiling he was tasked to win AFCON 2021 and pocket a whopping $300,000 dollars but he rather produced one on Ghana's abysmal performance in the continent's football showpiece.

The Serbian tactician is expected to return home with the Black Stars for the Ghana FA to decide his fate.
