Asante Kotoko have officially confirmed that the club has launched an investigation into allegations of attempted bribery involving some of its players ahead of their final Ghana Premier League fixture of the 2025/26 season.

In a statement released on May 26, 2026, the club revealed that the Board and Management held a meeting with the players and technical team to discuss what they described as a “disappointing performance” during the season.

The statement further disclosed that management also addressed reports of attempted bribery involving certain players before the club’s final league game. According to the club, investigations have already commenced to establish the full facts surrounding the allegations.

Kotoko praised Patrick Asiedu for what the club described as his professionalism, integrity, and commitment after reportedly bringing the matter to the attention of management.

The club stressed that it treats issues of this nature with utmost seriousness and warned that any individual found guilty after investigations would face the appropriate disciplinary sanctions.

The development comes at a difficult moment for the Porcupine Warriors following an underwhelming league campaign that has left many supporters demanding major changes both on and off the pitch.

Management also assured fans and stakeholders that the club remains committed to upholding professionalism, accountability, and integrity at all times.
