Ghana striker Majeed Waris struck late to earn FC Nantes a draw against Angers in French Ligue 1 on Saturday.

Waris netted in the 89th minute to restore parity after Cameroon striker Stephane Bahoken had scored the opener.

Waris' goal was his first in the French Ligue 1 and second for FC Nantes in all competitions since joining the French side in the summer.

Stephane Bahoken scored in the opening five minutes as he received a pass from Flavien Tait and clinically struck home at the near post.

However, Waris who replaced Andrei Girotto in the 74th minute was found by Emiliano Sala. The Ghanaian wasted no time as he unleashed a strike, low and hard into the bottom left corner.

Majeed Waris,27, joined the French side on a season-long loan from Portuguese giants Porto in the summer transfer window.
