Manny Pacquiao will earn at least $10million (£8m) for defending his world title against Adrien Broner.

The Filipino puts his WBA welterweight belt on the line in Las Vegas on Saturday night as he fights for the 70th time.

Broner will take home a creer-high $2.5m (£2m) but both fighters' earnings will be boosted by a share of the profits, with Pacquiao set to pocket $20m (£16m) in total.

On Friday night, Pacquiao scaled 146lb while Broner weighed in at half a pound heavier but still within the 147 limit.

Pacquiao will fight for the first time since he turned 40 - but denied he's feeling his age.

He said: “People say I appear happier this fight. I am happy. I’m so excited to be back in the U.S. to fight again. Everyone has been so good to me here; it’s like a second home.

“The fact that I worked so hard in training is an example for my passion for boxing. I am always looking for ways to improve. Now that I’m older I listen to my body. If I’m sore I will take an extra day to recover if I have to.

Broner, meanwhile, is confident he can upset the odds in Las Vegas.

He said: "I’m just excited I’m the underdog and I know there are a lot of people that are here to see me lose. This is my second fight with my trainer Kevin Cunningham and we brought in strength and conditioning, so we good. You’ll see so on January 19."
