Great Olympics striker Maxwell Abbey Quaye has expressed delight at his debut Black Stars call-up ahead of AFCON 2021.
The goal-poacher is among the four debutants in coach Milovan Rajevac's 30-man provisional squad for AFCON 2021.
The three others are RTU captain David Abagna, Vitoria Guimaraes' Khalid Abdul Mumin and Abdul Salis Samed of Clermont Foot to his squad.
Abbey’s invitation is due to his exploits in the opening games of the Ghana Premier League where he has bagged seven goals after 9 games.

He took to Twitter to express his delight at his maiden call-up.
"Seeing my name in this provisional list is a big win, all thanks to God, coach Daniel Annor Walker, management of this great team, my team members, the lovely fans and every single person supporting me. At least my hard work is being recognised. We hope for the best," Maxwell Abbey Quaye wrote.
The 23-year-old last month bagged a hat-trick as Great Olympics thump Accra Lions 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Abbey, David Abagna, Khalid Abdul Mumin and Abdul Salis Samed are expected o join the rest of their teammates for pre-AFCON training in Qatar at the end of this week.
The Black Stars will open camp in Doha, Qatar today, Wednesday, December 22 ahead of the 33rd edition of the AFCON.
The team will be in Doha for a period of three weeks to prepare for the Tournament scheduled for Cameroon from January 9 to February 6, 2022.
The Black Stars will play three international friendly matches in Qatar to give Coach Milovan Rajevac the opportunity to assess his squad for the Tournament.
The team will wrap up their test matches against African Champions Algeria on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
The Black Stars will depart Doha for Yaoundé on Friday, January 7, 2022 to take on the rest of Africa at the AFCON 2021 in Cameroon.
Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac has until Friday, December 30, 2021 to submit his final squad for the tournament.
