Accra Hearts of Oak might bid farewell to the G6 tournament after they were held 1-1 by Medeama at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Phobians took the lead in the 23rd minute through Paul Acquah in the 23rd minute and controlled the pace of the game till recess.

Hearts could have scored more as they managed to create chances and dominated the midfield leaving Medeama to commit several mistakes.

Medeama however came into the game in the dying minutes of the second half and managed to get the equalizer courtesy a superb strike from Benjamin Bature in the 87th minute.

Hearts after their defeat in the first game against Aduana Stars are now on a point and would have to wait for the results in the game between Medeama and Aduana.

A draw between the two would mean Hearts are out of the G6 tournament but they would be hoping that Aduana would beat Medeama to give them a chance at the next stage of the competition.

However, Medeama’s Kwesi Donsu has been named Man of the Match and received a prize from organizers, GHALCA.
