On Friday, Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama SC suffered back-to-back defeats against Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC in their return leg of the CAF Champions League at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The host came into this fixture after losing the first leg against the serial Champions League winners by 3-0 in their first game of Africa’s elite competition.

The first half was a tight affair, ending in a 0-0 stalemate.

The second half, though, saw a different story unfold, with Al Ahly reminding everyone why they're at the top of the group, tallying 5 shots on target and finding the back of the net once to secure a 1-0 victory.

With this result, Al Ahly maintains their sole leadership in Group D with nine total points, while Medeama suffers their first home defeat and remains at the bottom of the group with no points.
