MTN FA Cup semifinal matches to be played Sunday - GFA announces

The MTN FA Cup semi-final matches will now be played on Sunday, the GFA have announced.

The semi-final matches were to be played on Saturday respectively but there has been a change in date.

After the quarter-final draw, the FA Cup Committee said the semi-final matches will come off on Saturday and Sunday.

Meaning Berekum Chelsea were supposed to face AshantiGold in the semi-final of the 2020/21 MTN FA Cup competition scheduled for this Saturday at the Cape Coast stadium while Medeama also take on Hearts of Oak in the other semi-final clash all at the same venue on Sunday.

But the MTN FA Cup committee have made a change in the date of the fixtures, announcing that the matches will be played on the same day.

The semifinal matches of the 2020/21 MTN FA Cup will be played on Sunday, August 01, 2021 at the Cape Coast stadium, a statement read.

Berekum Chelsea - 2010/11 semifinalists will battle former champions AshantiGold SC at 3pm. Record holders Accra Hearts of Oak (10) who eliminated Elmina Sharks from the competition at the Quarter final stage will battle two-time winners Medeama SC at 6pm.

The Winners will progress to the final on Sunday, August 08, 2021.
